Who must pay Zakat al-Fithr?

According to Imam al-Shafi'i, Imam Malik and Imam Ahmad: zakat al-fithri is obligated for every free Muslim, including the children. It is obligated for muslims who own one Sha'a (two handsful) of basic daily food for one day and night. The diffrent opinion is provided by Imam Abu Hanifah. He see that actually muslim who are obligated for zakat only those who own the minimum amount of wealth to pay zakat (Nisab).


The opnion of Imam Al-Shafi'i, Malik dan Ahmad is supported by another opinion of Imam al-Khattabi. Khttabi sees that zakat al-fithri actually is an abligation
for all muslim. Khattabi explain that a muslim doesn't need to posses Nisab to be obligated to pay zakat al-fithri for he connected the duty of payi8ng zakat al-fithri with the obligation of fasting. For Muslims those are fasting in ramadhan zakat is being obligated.
